The City of Clayton has multiple project each year that address ADA  (Americans with Disabilities Act) related obstacles. Below are annually reoccurring projects that Public Works has to address these obstacles.

ADA Improvements Project

Summary

This capital improvement program serves to address ADA items (sidewalk, curb ramps, etc...) throughout the City of Clayton each year with funding allocated in the yearly budget. The Public Works Department utilizes our ADA transition plan, visual inspections and citizen reports to prioritize repairs on a "worst first" basis which is determined by the condition and location of the sidewalk.

The City has awarded the contract for ADA Improvements Fiscal Year 2024 to Kingsland Concrete Construction, LLC. Construction will begin with work on various sidewalks throughout the city. Street closures are not expected, but work will take place in the easements of various sidewalks sections.
