MetroLink, the region’s light rail system, connects downtown St. Louis, Lambert International Airport and many popular attractions and neighborhoods.
From east of Clayton, the MetroLink Cross County Extension surfaces just south of Forsyth Boulevard between the east and westbound lanes of Forest Park Parkway and continues west over Hanley Road and Brentwood Boulevard. West of Brentwood the alignment turns south, runs along the east side of Interstate 170 and continues south along I-170 to the Sunnen Business Park area ending at the Shrewsbury station just north of Lansdowne Avenue.
The first of two MetroLink stations that serve the Clayton community is located at Forsyth Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway. The Forsyth station is an open, below-grade station. The plaza and platform area are accessible from street level by stairs and ramps.
The second station serves the Clayton central business district and is located in the median of Forest Park Parkway just west of Central Avenue. The station has a center platform with stairs and elevator access to a plaza and an extended pedestrian walkway linking it with Central Avenue and St. Louis County’s Shaw Park Drive Garage. The Clayton MetroBus Center is located in the ground level of the garage and provides easy transfers from MetroBus to MetroLink.
