Homeownership
- STL Village is a non-profit organization supporting older adults who live east of Big Bend who want to continue living at home and staying active in the community.
- Odd Couples Housing, Inc. offers a new opportunity for healthy senior adults or empty-nesters to share expenses and household responsibilities by opening their home to a young professional or graduate student.
Emergency Preparedness & Safety
- Citizen's Police Academy - The Academy educates members of the general public about the complexities of modern law enforcement.
- Crime Statistics - Learn about crimes that have happened in your area so that you can better prepare yourself.
- Electronic Recycling - Dispose of unwanted computers, TVs and other electronic devices at the annual Recycling event held in Shaw Park each spring.
- Home Monitoring during Vacations - If you're planning to be away from your home for several days and would like the Clayton Police Department to check in on your home, please call the Police Non-Emergency line at 314-645-3000 to schedule your home monitoring.
- Injury Prevention Home Inspection - The Clayton Fire Department will conduct inspections to locate tripping and falling hazards to prevent injuries in your home. To schedule an inspection, please call 314-290-8485.
- Safety presentations - The Clayton Police Department presets on current topics to keep the public informed and safe. These presentations are often included in the Citizen's Police Academy.
- Shred Day - The Clayton Chamber of Commerce hosts a free shredding event for you to securely dispose of documents. The event is typically held each October in Shaw Park.
- Smoke Detector Battery Checks -The Clayton Fire Department will help install your smoke detectors and check the batteries to ensure they are functioning properly. To schedule a smoke detector battery check, please call 314-290-8485.
Transportation
- Call-A-Ride - This curb-to-curb transportation service is available for qualified individuals whose disabilities prevent them from taking fixed route transit.
- Meals on Wheels - This volunteer program delivers prepared food to those unable to shop or cook for themselves.
- MetroLink - MetroLink provides light rail train access to the central corridor of St Louis as well as access to Lambert International Airport and other destinations.
- Schnucks Delivers - Schucks can shop for and deliver grocries you order to your doorstep.
Health & Fitness
- Center of Clayton - The City's indoor recreation center offers senior rates on memberships as well as resident and member rates on programs. The Center has pools, fitness center, indoor track, gymnasiums and water and land fitness programming.
- Clayton Parks - Clayton offers 11 parks throughout the City. Shaw Park and Oak Knoll Park also include walking paths for outdoor nature walking.
- Oasis - Oasis, located at The Center of Clayton, offers a variety of fitness and educational programs throughout the year.
- Prescription Drug Disposal - The Clayton Police Department partners with the Drug Enforcement Agency to collect and dispose of unwanted or expired medications at a pop-up collection site twice per year.
- Shaw Park Facilities - Clayton Parks and Recreation offers senior rates at Shaw Park facilities which include the Aquatic Center, Ice Rink, and Tennis Center. Clayton residents also get discounts on programs at those facilities.
- Society for the Blind & Visually Impaired - The Society’s programs and services are specially designed for individuals with low vision and are focused on coping with vision loss, maintaining, restoring or adapting skills to allow individuals to remain safe and independent in their own home.

- Clayton Heritage Center - This room at The Center of Clayton provides access to historical research tools like ancestry.com and historical memorabilia.
- Historic Hanley House - The Historic Hanley House is a time capsule to the life styles at the time of the founding of Clayton. The House offers tours on weekends from April through October as well as special events through the year.
- Oasis - Oasis, located at The Center of Clayton, offers a variety of fitness and educational programs throughout the year.

- Public Meetings - The City of Clayton holds a number of public meetings regarding the various issues in the Clayton community.

- Visit-A-Bit matches senior adults and volunteers together to reduce loneliness, isolation and promoting socialization, while giving the option to work on weekly projects together.
