Project Clear is a long-term public engagement effort by the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD). The goal is to provide clear, current information to the public about the planning, design, and construction of an infrastructure program.

Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District sent out letters making residents aware of the program, the "why" behind it and asking them to help us better understand the circumstances on each individual property.

Why is this effort needed

One of the significant goals at Project Clear is to provide relief for neighborhoods with basement backups and sewer overflows.

How will this impact me?

Project Clear will include significant investments in new sewer systems underground. These improvements will help the system carry more wastewater to MSD’s treatment plants. After proper treatment, this clean water then goes back into the region’s rivers and streams
