In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the City of Clayton has established an ADA Transition Plan to address barriers to accessibility in the City of Clayton public right of way. This plan was unanimously adopted by the City of Clayton Board of Alderman on December 9, 2014.

The next step, which is currently under way, involves Public Works developing a plan to address the identified barriers to accessibility included in the ADA Transition Plan. Additionally, the ADA Transition Plan is regularly utilized to ensure that future projects address any existing barriers within their limits.
