Volunteers Make A Difference!

Want to give back? Volunteer! Opportunities to volunteer with the Clayton Parks and Recreation Department are almost unlimited. Help out at a one-day special event or assist on an ongoing basis. Volunteer opportunities are available for individuals, neighbors, families, students, co-workers…everyone! Whether you like the indoors or the outdoors, we need you!

How to Get Involved:

Youth Sports Head Coach/Assistant Coach

Consider helping with the Youth Sports programs as a head coach or an assistant coach. You will be able to help youth build their esteem, and develop skills. You will also get a reduced rate for your child to participate in the league. For more information about coaching, contact David Willey at dwilley@claytonmo.gov or 314-290-8508.

Park Clean-Up

Help keep your community clean by volunteering for park clean-up. Park service helps keep your local parks clean and vibrant for everyone’s enjoyment. For more information about opportunities in the parks, contact Justin Whipple at jwhipple@claytonmo.gov.

Special Events

There are numerous special events throughout the year, which can be found on the Special Events page.  Help make these a success and have fun at the same time! For more information about volunteering at special events, click here or contact Valerie Egel at vsegel@claytonmo.gov.

Hanley House Tours

The Hanley House depends on contributions from volunteers to ensure school group tours and other historical programs are rich with history and learning opportunities.  For information about volunteering at the Hanley House, contact Lori Rice at lrice@claytonmo.gov.
