Clayton and Brentwood’s Parks and Recreation staff have teamed up to host Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run and Junior Homerun Derby on April 29 in Shaw Park. Both competitions are FREE one day events for boys and girls ages 7-14. The Pitch, Hit & Run competition lets players compete against their peers in pitching accuracy, hitting ability, and running speed. The Junior Homerun Derby gives players a chance to swing for the fences in a unique scaled-down version of the MLB Homerun Derby. Both competitions will take place in Shaw Park on Fields 5 & 6 starting at 8:00am. Winners of each region will be eligible to play in the Sectional event later this spring. All participants will receive a completion certificate upon the conclusion of the events. Details and registration are available at www.pitchhitrun.com. Walk-ins are welcome.
