On Saturday, October 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., The Clayton Police Department, in cooperation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be conducting a National Prescription Drug Take Back event. The site will be the parking lot of the Center of Clayton, 50 Gay Ave.
During this event, Police Officers and DEA Agents will be accepting expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for disposal. The focus of this event is to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nation’s medicine cabinets. The substances will be accepted with no questions asked. This event will be held not only in Clayton, but across the St. Louis Area as well as the United States. All drugs collected will be destroyed under the direction of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
